The Pulsar FXQ 55 BW is a thermal imaging attachment which can be mounted on an optic. The Pulsar 5x30 monocular included in the scope of delivery is a fully functional 5x30 monocular “binoculars” for daylight.
Mounted on the Core FXQ55BW with a handle by means of a Ba jo nice lock, the Core attachment becomes a full-fledged thermal imaging device.
The Core FXQ55BW can be attached to and removed from most binoculars, spotting scopes and optics (ZF) with an outer diameter of 42 to 56 mm using an optional adapter (not included). The 550 g core does not interfere with the overall balance of the riflescope. The point of impact set once using the operating instructions is not lost even after dismantling and assembly. You keep your usual eye relief to the optics, variable magnification and reticle. The built-in frost-resistant AMOLED display is particularly advantageous when observing moving objects. With a resolution of 640x480p, it enables sharp contrasts and quick responsiveness even at extreme temperatures of -25 ° to + 50 °.
The Core FXQ provides three observation modes: City (increased contrast), Forest (less contrast), Identification (increased emphasis on temperature differences). The change from the “white hot” color palette to the “black hot” image is set by pressing a button. With the three different calibration modes, the Core FXQ55 BW has an automatic mode (A) that takes place without user involvement. The semi-automatic mode (H) is started when required by pressing the (Cal) key and a manual, silent mode (M), a largely silent calibration is also carried out by the user by pressing the (Cal) key (with the lens cover closed). An ergonomically shaped wireless remote control enables the basic functions of the Core to be operated.
The operating time with inserted batteries (accumulators) is approx. 4 hours. In addition to our devices, we also supply a power bank with 5200 mAh to enable a considerably longer service life. The power bank is connected via the weather-resistant micro-USB port (included in the scope of delivery) which is plugged into the battery compartment. For the sake of practicality, we have developed a felt bag with Velcro strips especially for the power bank, which can be attached to the front rifle stock. Once used, you won't want to do without such a power bank as a secure energy guarantee for thermal imaging devices and night vision devices. With protection class IPX7, the Pulsar FXQ55 BW can be used in all weather conditions and precipitation types. Even a short immersion in water is no problem for the device.

Notes on battery disposal
In connection with the sale of batteries or with the delivery of devices that contain batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following: You are legally obliged to return used batteries as the end user. You can return old batteries that we have or have carried in our range as new batteries free of charge to our dispatch warehouse (dispatch address). The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meanings: The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste. Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 mass percent lead Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury. Please note the above instructions.
